Frequently Asked Questions

Trust & Protection

Do you handle council and engineering approvals?

Yes - and we'd recommend being cautious of any builder who doesn't. Council approval and site-specific engineering aren't optional extras; they're what protects your investment and ensures your structure is safe, legal, and built to last. We manage the entire approvals process on your behalf, from lodging the application to sign-off.

What warranties do you provide?

Every Patio Roof Co build comes with a 25 year structural warranty backed, an 8 year paint protection warranty & a 5 year installation warranty.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes - we're fully licensed builders carrying public liability and all required insurances. You can ask to see our licence and insurance details any time, no problem.

Do you offer finance?

Yes. We offr flexible interest free finance options to help make your new Patio or Carport more affordable. With up to 60 months interest free & no early payment fees, you can enjoy your outdoor space sooner without the upfront financial pressure.

Pricing & Quotes

Will the price you quote actually be the price I pay?

Yes - once we've confirmed your design and site details, the quoted price is fixed. No hidden add-ons, no surprise costs halfway through. If anything changes on your end, we'll walk you through it and get your sign-off before any price adjusts.

Is the quote free, and what happens after I enquire?

Your quote is completely free, with no obligation. We'll arrange a site visit, talk through your ideas, and give you a detailed, fixed-price quote. You decide from there.

Why do you use Stratco instead of cheaper alternatives?

Stratco is Australia's leading manufacturer of engineered outdoor structures and there's a reason for that. Their products are designed and tested specifically for Australian conditions, from extreme UV exposure to cyclonic wind ratings. Cheaper alternatives might look better on paper, but they lack durability, quality and long term performance. That's why we offer a 25 year structural garentee, 8 year paint protection warranty & a Stratco backed 5 year installation warranty.

The Build Process

What areas do you service?

We proudly build across the Gold Coast, Scenic Rim, Brisbane and Northern Rivers. Not sure if we cover your area? Give us a call we love a road trip for the right project.

What happens if it rains mid-build?

Aussie weather doesn't always cooperate, and we build around it. Short delays are normal and we'll always keep you in the loop on timing. You won't be left wondering what's going on or when we're coming back.

How long does the actual on-site build take?

Most patio and carport builds are completed in one to three days once all approvals are in place. The exact timeline depends on the size and complexity of your project, but we'll give you a clear schedule before we start and we stick to it. No half-finished structures sitting in your backyard for weeks.

Do I need to be home during the build, and what about my pets/garden?

You don't need to be home for most of the build, though we'll always confirm key milestones with you. We treat your property with respect. That means protecting garden beds, keeping the site tidy, and cleaning up properly once we're done.

Can I customise the design, size, or colour?

Absolutely. Every build is designed around your home and how you want to use the space. Colours, size, roof style and layout are all tailored to you, not a fixed template.

"I'm near a boundary / my block is tricky" Can you still build?

Tricky boundaries and awkward site conditions are something we deal with regularly. We'll assess your site properly and design a solution that works — it's rarely a dealbreaker.
